Third prize at the International Contest of simultaneous and consecutive interpreters Cosines Pi
(2021) Machine translation and legal texts: How helpful are machine-translated legal instructions for end users?
I investigated this question in my master's thesis. In order to evaluate the usefulness of MT, I was able to organize an experiment (many thanks to all 80 participants!). For me as professional translator and interpreter, the results of the experiment were surprising and encouraging.
(2021) Logistics and reporting
Translating official legal and finance documentation (Russian>English, German) for a major Russian logistics company.
The main challenge: Russian Accounting Standards terminology.

(2020) Getting started with new colleagues
Successful start of cooperation with high quality translation agency in Mannheim. The main field: English>Russian, legal and financial texts. Software: SDL Trados and MemoQ.

(2019) Commodities and contracts
Preparing a wide range of documents in three languages for an independent raw materials company: legal, business, reporting.

(2018) TAIEX Study Visit on improving system of port state control inspection
Interpreting in Hamburg (English/Russian, consecutive and whispering) for the Ukrainian delegation. Main focus: legislation and standards for ship inspection and ship survey organisations.

(2017) Translating in team
Set up a team to translate and proofread a 130-page conference volume (English>Russian). Serious subject: mass graves. We delivered the project ahead of schedule!
